Free U.S. Travel Guides by Mail: Tennessee, Florida and Texas
Sources checked October 13–14, 2026. Requests and applications do not guarantee delivery; availability can change.
Official free travel guides can help you compare destinations before booking a trip. Tennessee, Florida, and Texas offer useful starting points for U.S. travelers. Choose a digital guide if you need information now; request print when the delivery estimate fits your plans.
Start with the guide that matches your destination
Tennessee: printed 2026 guide and digital option
Open Tennessee Tourism's guide page. The official page offers a free printed guide, a mailing form, and a digital edition. It publishes a four-to-six-week delivery estimate.
Status: printed request form available. The form asks for name, email, country, and mailing address, with newsletter consent shown separately. It does not specify a separate postage fee or household limit in the reviewed content. The delivery estimate is not a guaranteed arrival date.
Use the guide to shortlist regions and attractions. Confirm each attraction's current hours and booking rules on its own website before building an itinerary around it.
Florida: vacation and campground information
Choose an official VISIT FLORIDA travel guide. The directory provides digital guide options and routes for printed requests. Select the U.S. mailing route when applicable and inspect the final request terms.
Status: official guide directory available. Separate postage and final fulfillment for a personal address were not tested. A campground directory can help you compare locations, but it does not establish campsite availability for your dates.
The Texas guide below adds a third destination option with its own form and digital access.
Add park benefits without assuming the whole trip is free
The National Park Service pass guide lists free passes for qualifying groups, including fourth graders, eligible military members and families, veterans, and people with qualifying permanent disabilities. The page also lists October 27 and November 11 among its remaining 2026 entrance-fee-free dates for U.S. citizens and residents.
Status: published benefits with eligibility and coverage limits. Reservations, camping, transportation, and other charges may still apply. Check the individual park and the pass rules; a brochure or entrance benefit is not a free vacation.
An official Texas guide request
Travel Texas offers the official Texas State Travel Guide and a digital viewing option. Its public form provides mailing choices and says the English printed guide is mailed within the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
We reviewed the request page on October 13, 2026. It describes the guide as free; we did not submit a request, confirm delivery, or independently complete a final fulfillment check. Review any terms presented to your address before sending the form.
Use the official page for both the mailing request and the digital alternative. Do not assume an unrelated site offering “all 50 state guides” is the organizer of the actual publications.
Choose only the guides relevant to your trip
Write down the destinations you are deciding between, the approximate trip length, and the kind of travel you want. Then request or download the guides that help with those decisions.
You may not need a brochure for every state along the way. A regional map and the information for your main stops may be more useful than a pile of general booklets.
Check the edition date when it is visible. A printed guide can remain helpful for broad planning while individual business hours, admission prices, or road conditions need a separate current check.
Turn the guide into a realistic itinerary
Pick a small number of possible stops and group them by location. Check travel distances before building a day around attractions that are far apart.
Use the guide to discover options, then verify each place through its own official information. A listing in a tourism booklet does not guarantee that an attraction is open on your intended day.
For a family trip, note the questions you still need answered: age suitability, accessibility, reservations, restrooms, and the full cost of the visit. Do not assume those details from a scenic photograph.
Mailing details deserve a careful read
Look for destination limits, language, format, and whether you can choose a map without the full packet. Supply the address accurately and follow the form’s required fields.
Read marketing permissions separately from the delivery request. A tourism guide may come with optional newsletters or other communications. Accept only the terms you understand.
Keep the request confirmation if one is provided, but do not rely on delivery before a specific date unless the organizer confirms that timing.
Check digital access before printing
Preview the file and select the pages you need. Printing a full-color guide can cost more than you expect, and the digital version may work well on a phone or tablet.
If you plan to use it without an internet connection, check that the file is saved and readable on your device before leaving. A browser bookmark is not the same as an offline copy.
Respect the publisher’s terms for copying, sharing, and reuse. A free planning publication is not a license to republish its maps or photos under your own brand.
Travel guide questions
Are official guides always free to mail?
Do not assume a universal policy. Check the particular destination, request terms, and any final charges.
Can an old guide still help with a trip?
It may help with broad discovery, but verify time-sensitive details separately before traveling.
Does requesting a guide book my trip?
No. It is information, not an attraction reservation, hotel booking, or travel service.
For general mailed-request checks, read free stuff by mail. Choose a guide for a destination you are seriously considering and use it to resolve your next planning question.
