Phoenix’s public works department offers residents a green way to take down their Christmas trees
The city transfer station at 30205 N. Black Canyon Hwy. will accept trees for recycling from 5:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays, 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays and 6 a.m. to noon on New Year’s Eve. Residents should be advised that transfer stations are closed on Sundays and New Year’s Day.

Knox County residents can recycle their unwanted live Christmas trees for free after the New Year

The following locations will be accepting trees:

Dutchtown Convenience Center, 10618 Dutchtown Road
Forks of the River Convenience Center, 3106 Water Plant Road
Halls Convenience Center, 3608 Neal Drive
John Sevier Convenience Center, 1810 John Sevier Highway
Powell Convenience Center, 7311 Morton View Lane
Tazewell Pike Convenience Center, 7201 Tazewell Pike


City of Abilene Offers Free Christmas Tree Recycling
Three sites for Christmas tree drop-offs will be opened on December 26th. Each site will have orange construction fencing in which to place the trees. All sites will close Friday, January 10th. The Recycle Christmas tree drop-off locations are:
The vacant lot north of the KTAB and KRBC studios on Hartford Street near Pioneer Drive. Entry must be made from Hartford.
Under the water tower at Buffalo Gap Road and Rebecca Lane
The Environmental Recycling Center, located at 2209 Oak Street is open Monday through Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to accept Christmas trees.

The promotion, offered by the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System, covers Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. MTS Access subscriptions are cancelled Monday, Dec. 23 through Wednesday, Dec. 25.
